Getting Started
Welcome! We’re glad you’re here. Before playing, please read the Rules if you haven’t already; this guide covers the essentials for your first session and settling into the community.
Your First 30 Minutes
You will automatically start in the resource world: it is for mining, gathering, and exploring, while the main world stays clean for towns and permanent builds. Use /resource to enter it and /spawn to return to spawn. The resource world and its Nether reset regularly, so do not build anything permanent there—but feel free to gather everything you need.
After you have spent 30 minutes exploring, geared up, and found your footing, you unlock the ability to join a town and start looking for one to call home. You can then apply for a town in #looking-for-town.
Join a Town
The town system is how we encourage collaboration and community building. Joining is optional, but strongly recommended: towns offer protected land, shared facilities, community projects, and trade, and they are a great way to meet people. Find recruiting towns at spawn or on Discord, then use /town <name> to learn more or speak to a town leader.
Most towns offer new residents a plot. Ask where to build, stand in an available plot, then use /plot claim. Use /plot info to check its details.
See Towns for membership, roles, claims, and the full set of town commands.
Build Thoughtfully
Permanent builds belong in towns or other agreed locations. Keep the main-world wilderness tidy so it stays pleasant to explore: avoid leaving floating trees, temporary shelters, mining holes, or abandoned workstations behind. Use the resource world for large-scale collection whenever possible.
The main Nether is for lasting infrastructure such as highways, portals, and farms. The End is shared and may be reset periodically; resets are announced ahead of time.
Learn more about the world here. A live web map is available as well.
